Default I don't like to shut up so I'm gonna put up!!!

Goal(s) I want to accomplish during this Challenge:

I want to Gain muscle and continue to lose fat! I want to be able to see my muscle development in my pictures and not just feel it. I also want to fit into some size 40 jeans my sister gave me that didn't fit. She was bummed but I was even more so!

    How I'm going to accomplish this/these goal(s):

I'm going to continue with my exercise routine and continue to lift weights and stick to my diet. NO junk food what so ever!!

What else we should know about you during this Challenge:

I recently had back surgery. Before the surgery I could barely even get around. I put on a lot of weight over the last decade due to my back and crappy lifestyle! I used to smoke a lot of pot. That led to my appetite as well! I'm trying to turn my life around. I quit smoking weed. I've gave up alcahol, I stopped smoking cigarettes a while ago, I even quit drinking pop, and now I'm quiting being a fat ass!!!!!!!!

    Default Good advice

Thanks for the advice guys. I will start on a multi-vitamin today. I will also increase my water intake. I had been drinking alot more and I know I have cut back lately. I was having a hard time with it cause I needed to piss all the time. I'm at a new job now and can't really afford to be pissing every 15 mins. I guess I need to get better at holding it!

Man, this sucks, Rev. I wish I could give you some,"This is what worked for me when I was in your shoes" advice, but I really don't have any. The longest I went on a "diet", previously, was 6 weeks when I was at my all time heaviest about...seven years or so ago, I guess. Although my weight loss was slowing towards the end of the 6 weeks, I was still losing. I'm certain if I had continued the diet longer, I would have eventually had to reevaluate things, though.

On any bodybuilding forum, you'll get flamed big time for eating 5 calories p/lb of body weight, just so ya know. But I've eaten that little while dieting before, too. If I wake up tomorrow with 60lbs of fat to lose (the way I was at my all time heaviest), I'll do it again, too. Ultimately, it may not be the best approach, though.

I think you're tackling this the right way, now. You're going to up your calories for a bit, possibly forgoing fat loss during that time, but you have your eye on the bigger picture.

I think you're doing the right thing here. Keep blazing your trail - the rest of us are watching.

Black coffee is a good thing Just try not to go overboard. Try to switch to hot tea or green tea if possible. Green Tea helps speed the metabolism.

    Default Rough week

So this has been a challenging week to say the least. Dealing with my weight loss plateau sucks! Then my ankle is screwed up and I can barely walk. Saturday was supposed to be weight lifting day but I had to work and with the ankle thing and the plateau thing I was getting bummed out a little bit. Plus I had tried raising my calories a bit to see if that would help. I gained weight! FUCK!!!! So i wasn't feeling the whole fitness thing and was kind of deppressed wondering if I was going to get back on track or flop. So sunday came and I went back to lower calories but wasn't real inspired. I went to work last night and worked my ass off with the hurt ankle, I just wanted to go home and go to bed. then I was wondering if and when I would get back into the weight lifting routine. Then a funny thing happened. One of my new co-workers who i've talked to a couple of times in the lunch room and in passing. Had come back into the store on his own time and bought some healthy clean food and told me that me telling him about my goals and my diet that first time I had met him in the lunch room had inspired him. He said if I could do it, he could do it and he was going to start working out and eating better. I shook his hand and congratulated him and realized that i can't give up no matter what and if I'm going to be an inspiration to people I better not give up and I better practice what I preach!! So at 11:00 pm when I got home, I hit the weights hard! I worked out a little longer than I normally would. The protein shake afterwards tasted even better than it normally does and about 1:00 am I went to bed feeling better about everything. This morning when I weighed myself I was right at 300lbs. Perhaps I have broken through that plateau!! So here are this weeks pics. The first one was post workout at 12:30 am. the rest were takin at 11:00 am today.
I don't like to shut up, so I'm gonna put up!!!

Lookin good brother, keep up the good work. I know its hard to stay motivated especially when you fall victim to an injury. Make sure your ankle's right and try to prevent future incidents if possible. Good luck on your goals bro.
Opposition is a natural part of life. Just as we develop our physical muscles through overcoming opposition we develop our character muscles by overcoming challenges and adversity.

DAAAAMN bro, you lookin' good homie. Those Bis and Tris are BEGGING to come out. A definately solid foundation of a V-Taper in progress. Remember, determination = Success. To be honest, I got tingles reading because there's no better gift than of self-sustenance and improvement. People will definately notice what you're doing is working, and they'll want to do it, too. I recently read a book on psychology and in the fifth chapter their recommendation on physical health is that only fitness related professionals and athletes should attempt to become stronger; It basically said either you're born strong with good genetics and should pursue physical activities or you're not and should get a deskjob. Needless to say from that point on I disregarded EVERYTHING that it said about strength and training.

Don't doubt, you'll turn heads. The beautiful thing is, as their heads turn the brain begins to spin and wonder why they aren't the ones reaping the benefits of leading a healthy bodily-conscious lifestyle. You'll also be amazed at how willing to accept people are. Noone remembers my rolypoly days, mainly because I don't talk to many of them anymore. Everyone I meet instantly thinks that I've always been in the shape I'm in and that it was spoon fed. Do not doubt, you're body will DEMAND hours of your time to get to where you want to be, but it all adds up real quick. One day you're going to wake up and there'll be nary a shadow of a doubt that the rev-man takes care of himself: With that, you gain respect of any and all that build their bodies. It's torture, it is; but you love it already. Look what it's ALREADY done for you! Furthermore, think of where you will be in a year. Nowhere to go but up, baby!
    Don't say I can't do it.
Show me you can or be surpassed.

Did you take your multi- today?
