Kimbo vs Ken (My Take)
Obviously this is not top quality MMA fighting. Kimbo could not beat Rashad, or Fedor, or Jardine, etc. and neither can Ken (now).
It'll be good in that in some ways they are of about equal quality (for different reasons), but it's not the best in the world (though Ken used to be one of the best).
The people watching the Elite broadcasts are not seeing grade A MMA fighting.
Ken talks a good game for this fight but it's hard to forget how he told Ortiz that he was going to spank him and then got his butt kicked.
Ken is tough, but I wonder if he isn't maybe just done, at that level, with fighting MMA.
Kimbo is a nice enough dude, it's just ...can you imagine him fighting one of Bas's other students, like Mark Kerr in his prime. Kimbo, as he is, would be destroyed.
So, I say it'll be a good fight, just not a best in the world MMA fight.
I will say these guys are real characters and I appreciate that.
I'd love to see Ken move on and start over, maybe as a coach. (Still, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until after this fight.)
Good luck to both of them.
