12 Week Challenge

Rate this Entry
I've decided to do the 12 Week Challenge to give me a kick-start.

Goals I want to accomplish during this Challenge:

To make taking care of myself a priority!
To eat clean.
To increase overall body strength and endurance.
To lose body fat.

How I'm going to accomplish this/these goals:

I will plan and prepare clean meals in advance.
I will eat 5 to 6 times a day.
I will drink lots of water.
I will plan workouts and make them a priority (especially on my days off).
I will tell myself that I am worth the hard work that it'll take.
I will log my food and workouts on this site for accountability (I will update my 12 Week Challenge thread on Mondays and I will add daily entries on my blog).

What else we should know about you during this challenge:

I am a full-time dispatcher. I work shift-work in which I sit for nearly an entire 12 hour shift. I am currently working a 4 day on/4 day off rotation. My first 2 shifts are day shifts (0700-1900 hrs) and the next 2 shifts are night shifts (1900-0700 hrs). I find it hard to fit in workouts on the days shifts. So I will likely not workout those days too often. I am also a part-time University student (only 1 course this semester). I am an epileptic. The medication that I take makes me extremely tired (but I will not use this as an excuse!!). I have been athletic for most of my life (Figure Skating, Volley-Ball, Baseball, Hockey, Soccer), but for the past 4 years, I haven't been very active. At first, this was due to a partially torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament and Anterior Talofibular Ligament. After those injuries, I starting living a more unhealthy lifestyle and slowly gained weight. I have lost 30 lbs earlier last year. Now, I want to lose more body fat and increase my muscle mass.

My support system includes my CL husband of 8.5 yrs and my 4 yr old Havanese dog named Riley who motivates me to get outside (which is hard on both of us in the cold winter months)... Well I guess that's about it.

I will include my measurements, weight and photo's in my next post.
